Is there a way to flag islands to use less UV space? [SOLVED

Lets say I have a group of islands that are an area of the model that is not often seen, or is less important. I'd like to be able to group those islands together and tag the group to (for example) use a UV area that is 50% of what everything else is using.
ie. when I pack right now, everything is given the same uniform UV space in the map for consistent size, but I'd like to be able to tell the packer "hey - this group is less important - consume 50% of the space you would normally use".
Is that possible?
