Rectangularize can sometimes can sometimes result in distortion and overlapping faces. It would be nice to have some sort of stretch control on this function. This will enable the possibility to apply the function in bulk without worrying to much about the distortions caused by it . Please see the attached image for example Regards Attachments:

Please see the attached image for example Regards Can you recommend a workaround for avoiding the collapse of the form demonstrated on the attached image. Ideally I would like to perform this on all islands without having to worry about the colapsing bit. I was thinking about doing a loop based on polycount within the island.

You mean a way to avoiding the island to be processed ? Or an update of the current algorithm that would handle this case perfectly ?

Nothing would be better than the built-in logic being able to avoid this type of collapse. However, if that’s not possible, then some control though the gui would be good as well. Using this feature though an automated process can cause headache where you have to recheck the all UVS after generation.
