Hello, i would like to know if is possible to align/parallelize all vertex on two edges created since i cut the mesh, one by one. Is there a function that allows to "spread" the mutual vertex along two parallelized mutual edge, giving them the same U or V coordinates? Thanks a lot

Hi lutero I am not sure to understand what you really need. However there is two features ("align vertical" and "align horizontal" that you can find on the upper icon bar) that could help you. You can apply theses features on vertexes and edges as well. The "transform" panel also could help using zeroed value in scale U and scale V applied on edge/vertexes selection. Please tell me if it answer to your need. Cheers

Yes that would be great. When writing you post on this forum, please use "Add Attachment" to upload your images then click on "insert image". (Do not use "fast reply mode", use "reply mode" to make the redaction options visible).

Here we go, so take the case i have to map a ski boot. I cut the boot on the point (image). Then i have to map the mesh in an horizontal way, therefore i get the two mutual edges so far (image1). Now i need that my texture fit properly on the boot point (image2), so all the vertex on the two mutual edges have to get the same V coordinates. For example, in UVlayout i can do it by selection of two final vertex (the red ones in image3), mapping all the vertex between the final ones along the edge, with the same v coordinates (image 4-5). In this fast way my texture will fit properly on the boot point. Should be great to find something like this in UNFOLD 3d. Hope everything is clear. Thanks a lot

I'm lutero, i'll try to explain with a cylinder where i have to set this texture I cut the mesh, getting two new edges Then i unwrap the mesh in this way

If i want that my texture fit properly on the two edges i created, after i cut the mesh, i need that every single edge vertex (from the top to the bottom) gets the same V coordinate of the corresponding one on the other side edge. Ohterwise i'll get this situation Therefore i wonder if there is any way in UNFOLD 9.0.2 to optimize all the vertexes of each edge along it. In this case i could get the same V coordinates for all corresponding vertexes on the two edges. Still thanks

Hi Lutero,
Thanks for this clear explanation. This is perfectly understood and I see well the need of a feature like this. This is added in priority in our todo list.
For the moment, since there is not feature for doing this automatically, you'll have to stick with manual selection of mutual vertexes then entering "0" in the scale V of the Transform panel.
Thank you again.
