Hello, I have tried to auto seam a mesh but so far not been able to get satisfactory results. The problem is that unwrap almost explodes each poly as separate faces. I recently tried tried the segmentation module in UVLayout. The segmentation module automatically welds edges which results in fewer islands. Details on segmentation module www.headus.com/au/doc/uvlayout-expert/videos/UVLayout-Segment.mkvPlease let me know how I can achive similar results. Regards Tahir Attachments:

Hi in3d,
I also have this issue/complaint. Unfold3d can't seem to unwrap boxed/rigid objects very well. Is there any sort of box unwrap option for UnFold3d? Its a tedious process and somewhat annoying to have to unwrap each boxed object.

Hi Guys,
In the development version there is a new "Box" segmentation tool present in "Auto Seams". You may check this one and give us a feedback. Tools for Hard surface elements are clearly our in the top of our TODO list.

Remi can you please create a short video of the new box method? I’m getting a bit odd results and I’m not sure I’m using it properly. I also think a threshold parameter for the angle should be added.
