Doing my first UVings with the Beta and I am missing following things: _ 1.) is there a way to have this modify options back there? I know there are shortcuts for doing the same... 2.) I _love_ the old Gizmo is there an option to toggle between the old and new one?
3.) in my model I have several UV shells which have the same dimension and can have the same texture, I placed them above each other. When I want to move them, I just get the upper one moved, the shell under that isn't moved. With the previous Unfold-build I was able to use the lasso tool (for example) to select all what is in that place, this doesnt work now (?)
1.) I am afraid no. I suppose that you tried the 'SPACE' + mouse button to R/T/S ? That enable transforming of the selection. And press key 'D' to transform the island which is under the mouse pointer in any primitive mode (vertex/edge/polygon/island). Do you think that way is less efficient ? 2.) I am afraid no (also). The new gizmo allow more that the previous one. And the new one deserve love too. 3.) Strange, that works for me. I stacked islands then used the rectangle or lasso to select them (all of them have been selected), then pressed space key + mouse button and all of them moved.
My apologies! Seems like I am too much still used to do it the "old" way.
1.) well, okay, different workflow for me, no serious problem of course. It's just my way to work, I like having some functions as buttons - 'SPACE' will do also the job, yes. 2.) Seems like I have to learn more about the new one, I was so used to use it for using it to move - for example - a shell on a straight line up/down or left/right. Okay, have just to get more familiar with the new one. 3.) I noticed by that that my space key seems to have a defect, which also explains why some other things havent worked - I use two different keyboards for typin and modelling, so... I havent noticed it when writing at the forum - using now the other keyboard, works!
No apologies needed at all ! Your feedback is precious, I was a bit kidding.
What you are saying me is that the new Gizmo tool lack some features, and we will work on it for sure ! What I see now is that there is the need to block translation in U or V in a simpler way (better than having to use the U&V toggles of the transform panel). I could add some arrows around the new gizmo it would help when translating in only one direction.
