When running the installer, it forces the Visual C redist to install every time even if it is already installed, and then forces a reboot. For example the redist was installed with the first beta, and when I downloaded the latest installer and ran it, the redist was installed again, and again wanted a reboot. The installer should check to see if this package is already installed.

Okay, that is annoying, we will see if the installer allows robust checks.
thanks.

Chrisell,
From my investigation it is difficult to get a robust way to detect if the distribuable are already installed. Microsoft itself recommend to install them every time.
Also, when I install the setup, I don't have to reboot my machine. I don't know why you have to do it.
Until I don't find a robust way to check the presence of the VC distribuable I will let the installer as it is for now. I think it would be risky to skip their installation based on weak checks.
many thanks
