Hi,
Lets say I've unwrapped a mesh into tile 1001. I've rescaled islands to selection average to have the same textel density. Then I decide I want to spread the UVs on multiple tiles. I like to keep the same textel density, but also pack the different tiles to fill as much space as possible while keeping the same density across all tiles. Is this possible?

Hi Johan,
Nice question.
Once you have your islands that have the same pixel density in your layout, you can do this:
1- In Packing properties panel, disable "Auto Fit" (that will disable the post scaling by tile) 2- Use "Pack Translate" (Shift-P).
This will keep the current texel density.
(if you want to keep the current island distribution into tiles, select the island you want to be packed before step 2)
