I'm trying to create and unwrap UVs on a project for Warframe's Tennogen program by Digital Extremes. As far as i know, in other UV unwrapping programs it is standard practice to select and delete half the model, then do the UV work on one side. Unfold3D seems to be different. I have symmetry turned on, but Unfold3D acts as if symmetry is turned off. So it seems to me that the symmetry button does nothing. I've explored settings and even did the same in the program i exported from (Topogun), to no avail.
Can someone please direct me on how to get symmetry to work in Unfold3D?

Hi spilralviper, looks like you are using Unfold 3D 9.x ... this is not longer supported by Rizom Lab. You should try to get support at Polygonal Design: www.polygonal-design.fr/As far as I know symmetry is working fine in RizomLab UV so maybe it's time to change? Chris

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your response. Can i download an update for the software? I hope i don't have to pay for an update, as is sometimes the case with other software. Is there something i'm missing; was Unfold3D 9 changed to RizomLab UV? I guess it would be more or less the same software but with an updated UI, new or changed features and a different name?

Unfortunately there is no upgrade for Unfold 3D to RizomLab UV. If you want to use RizomLab UV you need to get a new license.

No, it's not a shame. Just 2 Companys. You can get support at Polygonal Design for Unfold 3D ... so why not go there? If you want the latest version of RizomLabs UV you need to purchace a lizense for it and I have to say it's not much you have to afford.
