I have been doing some rigorous testing of the new box method you have availed. It functions nicely on simple meshes but when the object gets complicated it sometimes yield strange results. However, I have a request if you can please consider this. Y+ Y- gives top and bottom faces. Now selecting X+ X- selects the whole face instead of just one edge. Please see the Attached image. A light maps should be continues with as few seams as possible. Is it possible to add some options for only selecting an edge rather than the "Whole" face along with all edges. Link Holes has somewhat similar effect but only on one side. Regards Tahir Attachments:

Hi Tahir;
I modified the options for the auto select box feature. It miss something more visual but at least you can try and tell me what you think about it. If you disable one of the edge of the box method and if you use the Full auto mode, don't forget to switch to flattening method "unfold". If you don't the flattening method will be automatically set to "Box" and polygons that are not in the correct axis will be projected in a wrong axis.
thanks !

Did some testing and its working perfectly. I can see that you have also fixed the LUA code. On the verge of automating something people have thought to be manual work for years. I love the fact that we have the possibility to influence the tool. Having tested all other tools out there for lightmaps, I must say unfold3d is the best now! Great work man, thanks a million. Thanks a lot for your feedback Tahir. May I ask you if you are working as a freelancer or in a company (and which one if its the case ?) Well, I own a company with base in Norway, but also doing some freelance work. The company is called In3D. We have specialized in creating fully immersive VR environments. Please have a look at our last project: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZgzQi076CQPS! Not just a video, it’s a virtual space. All lightmaps in the above Project are done with Unfold3D. Tahir
