Hi Erik, i have figured out some problebs on different PCs with a script encoding. So yours is UTF-8/BOM and it affects a lot on script execution in blender. I think you have to resave it into UTF-8 for compatibility between different applications. Many thanks!

Add-on is great and improves workflow, but there are bugs in Blender Bridge (v 2.79) 1. After pressing "SEND" in Manual unfold or "Auto Unfold", RizomUV opens but there is a message in a pop-up: "Failed to load splash_vs.png") that needs to be closed. [EDIT] This will be improved. Bridging works despite this dialog. 2. Seams from Blender model are not exported to RizomUV. Models imported to RizomUV have all edges marked as "CUT" (for example Suzanne), which needs unnecessary step: select all, weld and start over from the beginning. I would prefer that either Blender do not change any edge property or just export seams as cuts. [EDIT] from developer: This issue is somewhat tricky, as blender has no way of exporting seams into the mesh data. Blender edge seams are only for blender's own internal use and therefore the option of passing seams across is close to impossible. As for every edge being cut, this occurs when the mesh you send over has no UV data. I check if the model contains UV data, and if not I create it. By default, Blender will essentially mark all edges seams under the hood, that is why you are experiencing the edges cut. So I guess that we need to live with that, it's not a big problem. 3. Not a bug but could be improved: After pressing GET, model is imported correctly, but you can GET ONLY ONE TIME. Which means that you cannot make more changes in RizomUV, If you want to further modify UVs, you need to SEND, save and GET one more time. So after pressing GET, either RizomUV should be closed or it should be possible to use GET command more than once. [EDIT] Developer will look into this. Summary: For now I am happy with the workflow between Blender and RizomUV. Some improvements should be made, but it's already workable, nonetheless.

It would be great to see that plugin updated to Blender 2.8! Without it I cannot justify using RizomUV anymore :/ (I don't like export-import hassle)

My Unfold3D Exporter for C4D plugin can't be used. It can't save the path of rizomUV.exe. After each Sava, open the plugin option. The path will display false, help me.

just purchased the add-on, however I can't seem to get it to connect with the APP on Mac... what am I doing wrong? I navigate to the path in applications folder, select Rizom and save, but Blender gives an error.

Just wondering...if filip managed to get the bridge to work for 2.8. Blender 2.8 is officially released, so I'll gladly purchase this bridge-if it works. Erik, can you give us a working update for 2.8 or a status? Thank you.

Hi there, hi Erik, i downloaded version 1.5 some minute sago from Gumroad. Neither works the PlugIn with 2.8, 2.81Beta or 2.82Alpha. I still requires Blender 2.8x although its activated. Or what I am doing wrong?
Any solution?

Hi Erik, you should stop selling or port it to blender 2.8. I've just bought it and need a refund until it works. No mention on your gumroad page that it is for obsolete blender version. It is a cheating, Eric
