3DSMAX integration with a modifier.

Could you maybe build a modifier for 3dsmax to intergrade unwrap support? The advantage would be that modifiers on objects remain, even after unwrap. I do not mean a simple exporter, but something to unwrap and pack while retaining the modifiers.
