What version of FBX does Unfold3D save to?
Whenever I bring a model from MODO into Unfold3D, unwrap, save, and try to load it back into MODO, it complains that the FBX is of a newer format and fails. I believe that the newest FBX format MODO can handle is 2015.

Hi local306, Unfold3D Virtual Spaces can export different FBX formats. Go to the Menu->Edit->Preferences Dialog, then choose either 2013, 2014, 2016 (default is 2017). I would try more recent formats first. Please come back and tell us if it worked Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks for pointing this out as I was not aware of this option.
Unfortunately, I am still unable to import it back into MODO even after changing the preference through all of the different FBX formats. Didn't have any luck opening it in Blender as well.
As a sanity check, I tried importing into various other 3D apps and got the exported FBX with its UVs to import into ZBrush ZR8, Marvelous Designer, and akeytsu. Just as a double check, I tried exporting from the ZBrush import and that was unsuccessful opening in MODO.
In the past I have used an older Autodesk standalone app for converting between various mesh formats. It too failed with an error that there are not enough parameters.
Thanks once again. I'll ask MODO support as to what their thoughts are as well.

So it turns out that the current Beta build of MODO was able to import the file without any issue. So I guess I'll just wait until the next stable release and all should be well then

Hey guys, is this issue solved? I'm still experiencing problems with importing FBX from Unfold3D (2017.0.19) to Modo. Strangely enough, modo 10 supports FBX 2013 and 2015. However, I've tried to export from Unfold3D 2013 and 2014 versions and that was unsuccessful. Any ideas? Would be great to export/import multiple uv maps in one file.

Hi Vlad, User local306 reported that the problem is solved with the beta version of MODO handle properly this. So I suppose we may have to wait for Luxology do a new release?

Hi Vlad, there are more FBX options inside the preferences in Modo (This is version 11.2V1 472257, no RC or beta). Had no problem to reimport the changed file in Modo. hth! Peter

Thanks guys. Well, I'm on a Modo 10.2v4 and FBX 2014 is the newest option there. I set Unfold3D to 2014 and Modo to 2014. Still same problems: i.imgur.com/rt6WRBs.png (I've tried with Use legacy plugin for file import both ticked and unticked).

Well, I don't think that it's a problem with Modo. I've exported FBX 2014 from ZBrush and it opened in Modo without any problems.
