Hi there Rizom Lab!
I see that I can add a second computer ID after purchase, since I just bought the 149 Euro perpetual license. This is a natural question some people might have that might be good to explain on the site (before or at purchase time).
If I upgrade or change computers, can I change the Host IDs as long as I only have two active licenses at the same time? I plan to upgrade my home PC soon and I don't know how long I will be using the work machine, so I'd like to be able to free up that license later if needed.
Thanks very much!
Au revoir!
Dan

Hi Dan That's the delicate question about Host IDs. In one hand, we cannot guarantee that we will change your Host ID at your request, since it would allow dishonest persons to abuse of that right so must protect us legally. In the other hand we are not stupid and we want that you use our program that we sold to you. In first conclusion it means that we will do it if we feel confident. In second conclusion you should not worry too much about this

In second conclusion you should not worry too much about this I understand both arguments well. Okay, we'll see how it goes. I won't be upgrading too often. Once every 5-7 years maybe. Thanks, Dan

Once every 5-7 years only? You are kidding.

Once every 5-7 years only? You are kidding. Haha, well I bought my dual Xeon hexacore system back in 2009-10 or so. I can't even remember the year! I'm now about to build a Threadripper system and have all my parts picked out online. It's just a matter of coming up with the extra cash now to effect the upgrade. Dan

I am going to face that problem myself. I am going to upgrade to a new desktop within a month or two. I am going to be getting a Wacom Mobile Studio pro 16 this week. I would like to purchase a perpetual license at this time and use on my current desktop and then on Thursday when the Wacom arrives to add it as a second. then when I get the new desktop I would like to change out this current license, if I bought today and have one apply to the new desktop.
So, should I wait until I have both new computers or can I go ahead and purchase now? Now meaning when I get a reply to this post.
Thanks...looking forward to owning this software.

Hi Michael
You finally bought your license right?
We are ok to change your Host ID when the new computer desktop arrive, but you will have to uninstall Unfold3D from the previous one.
Cheers!

Ok...I just got my new desktop up and running. Do I simply uninstall Unfold3D from the old desktop? I am asking because Pixologic makers of zBrush require you to "deactivate" the license before installing and activating a new one. It is a longer process if you don't do that. So I need to make sure that all I need to do is uninstall.
I tried to put my second license on the new desktop but I don't know how to do that either. So I need help with installing my second license on my laptop as well as installing the first license on the new desktop.
Thanks for your help with this!
And yes I did purchase the perpetual license. Thanks

I did not see this old thread. I created a new thread today concerning trying to get my perpetual license to work. The computer I had installed the license to died. I did not have the chance to uninstall Unfold3D on that computer. I have the correspondence with the company's customer support and the notice for the RMA to prove I am not trying to sneak an extra license.
I got the replacement computer yesterday and tried to get the perpetual license using the new host ID for this computer. It only gave me a 30-day evaluation license.
How can I get a new license for that one-year I bought? And I am also getting a new laptop this week and would like to get Unfold3D on that too. It says I can have it on two computers. How do I obtain that second license?
Thanks for the help. I feel really stupid not being able to figure this out on my own.
