hello guys, Thank you to let me join the beta program I'm late to the party, just back from holidays and I had this afternoon to play with unfold 3d, and this is what I came up with
- Stretch visibility: the selection makes the object completely blue, avoiding to check stretching while optimizing it, unless I deselect it - Object selection by geometry continuity: looks like I can't select a whole single object in 1 click after it is Uved in multiple parts, it would be nice to have this option (I know we have Group selection dialog, but it would be nice to have a button in the right side shelf along with the slect. prim. group - Prevent Overlaps with Brushes: Prevent Overlaps works really well with Unfold and Optimize operations, but is seems the Brushes are not affected by it.
I just need to say the software is great already as it is. I pointed these out only to be picky and to contribute. sorry if some of these features are already there and I missed them, and thank you for your effort!
It's never late to give some feedback. The beta will end in 2 - 3 weeks but the feature requests will be of course used after the first commercial release. We will not stop to make the software evolve and we will do continuous releases (no more big release version, but a lot or regular smallers ones)
1. Well seen. It's not easy to find the right color scheme but you may use vertex selection instead of polygon until we find a solution for that. 2. Did you tried opening the Selection Dialog (the MGS icon) and by double clicking on the object's name ? Also, if you created a group and if you are in island/shell selection mode (F4), if double click on a island, all islands of the group will be selected as well. You can then transform the whole using tab key (gizmo) or SPACE + mouse drag.
3. Yes, I could add that options, the thing with that prevent option is when there is overlaps, the optimisation stops and it is a bit confusing. We have to find a way to "explain" that to users.
