[Scripting] Get Current Edge-Selection

Hello,

Is there a way to get the current active edge-selection in lua, save it to a variable and then retrieve it later?

Also documentation on ZomGet and ZomSet seems non existent. Is there a proper documentation for the lua-scripting somewhere?
