For the ones who tested that bridge, can you confirm that the bridge allows to add UVs on existing objects without loosing their properties like weight maps / skeletons / materials etc... ?

Unfortunately, I cant test until I can afford a new licence.

I have tried the Plugin in R18 with some simple meshes and it works fine. I'll test it with some complex models later.

Hi,
the C4D bridge is not working with R19. There is a Python error in the console when I run the Plugin.

Oh. I just figured out that its also not working in R18. So it seams to be broken on OSX in general?

Strange, when I tried the plugin during beta it worked fine on R19 (Windows). Contact the plugin developer, maybe he is working on an update?

I have tried the plugin with a complex model in R18 ... works perfect. to contact the programmer you can use her/his gumroad account. Maybe you get a reply. Chris

I'm curious if it could be a permissions issue you are having with the exchange plugin? On a deeper look, it appears the exchange plugin is windows only. Tell me, Does it ask for Unfold3D.exe or Unfold3D.app?

I was tried bridge in R19 (windows) and works fine. (Maybe good to mention C4D preference folder and C4D instalation folder itself are outside of default Program Files folder...) As first day user must say Unfold3D is amazing piece of software (Great job Remi). Video tutorials cover/explain all functions and commands... But back to bridge. Works well, what I miss is maybe single thing. Not sure if it´s posible yet, but conversion edge selection sets directly from Cinema4D into cuts in U3D can make unwrapping objects super fast. Maybe good to contact bridge developer (and there is question also to Remi if it´s posible thru U3D SDK some way) adding this option into bridge... btw, my question in shoutbox is irrelevant now

Thank you Lubo. Your idea with the edge selection transfer would be awesome. Edge indexes don't have any correspondances among the two applications, but it is possible to transfer them using a list of pair of indexes, one for the polygon ID, and another for the poly side: { polyID0, polySide0, polyID1, polySide1, polyID2, polySide2, etc...} If some bridge developers could do this, it would be then possible to transfer directly the edge selection from the C4D to Unfold3D VS or Unfold3D RS by LUA... I say that just like that...

...would be nice to do that. Don´t know how is defined edge(polyside) inside c4d since the same edge is part of 2 polygons (if it´s not border polygon), then result for just single edge could be in format (polyID_x,polyLine_y,polyID_a,polyLine_b) I think it´s posible to "identify" selected edges from selection sets...
How could be exported this list of indexes? As some text file (or tag added to exported object)? Or can be build-in inside fbx/obj format?
