Is it possible to automatically detect overlapping and similar uv islands (I mean already stacked) and group them in one go? My UV originaly comes from 3ds max and I already have some stacked islands - stairs, bricks, wood boards. The problem is that I got a pretty heavy and large UV so I do not clearly know where the stacked UV's are situated. So I really want to have the ability to detect them and put them in groups automatically. Is it possible?

I've been looking for exactly the same and apparently there's nothing implemented yet for doing so.
